Ahh, Malcolm and Sarah, what to say about these guys.  Maybe a little history first.  They're two of my favourite people, and we've shared tonnes of adventures together over the years.  Above on the left is them on a 4 day hike in Gros Morne National Park NewFoundland, and on the right, cycling in Quebec.  They're both go-getters in life, motivated and driven in work and play with passions all over the map.  Either going 110% or not at all because of an injury, that pretty much sums them up as athletes.  Ever the givers with huge hearts, they're a couple that I'm proud to call my friends.  Sounds cheesy but those who know them, know what I mean.

In a couple weeks from now Sarah is heading to Cambodia on a 14 month volunteer placement with CUSO-VSO.  She'll be using her education as a dietician doing work in small villages in the north of the country.  Getting hitched before the big adventure was really important, and while you'd never guess it, their wedding came together in under four months.

Malcolm and Sarah: It was an enormous honour to share in your most special day.  I hope you enjoy this snapshot of your wedding through my eyes!

Katie and Jamie Calabogie Lake ON

            Jaime and Katie

While in Ontario recently I had the chance to work with fellow photographer/friend's company Fleischer Photography.  I met the couple briefly before the wedding and wow, these guys were the bomb.  With so many things happening at a wedding it's easy for couple's to get overwhelmed making sure everything runs smoothly, or worrying that everyone is enjoying themselves.  Jamie and Katie balanced having fun - and managing fun like an art.  Their wedding ran beautifully and they carried the pulse of it the whole day through.  Here are some favs of my interpretation of their amazing fall wedding day.

            Jaime and Katie

Katie has a stunning Audrey Hepburn look, and the relaxed confidence to go with it.

Jamie's energy is booming!  You could tell he was living his dream that day.

                Janine and Steve

                Janine Steve Shuswap sign

A beautiful fall wedding in the Shuswaps.  Janine and Steve live in Calgary and were looking for a little nook someplace in b.c. for a small intimate wedding weekend where everyone could be together in the same place.  They found this perfect space in Scotch Creek on the huge Shuswap lake while traveling to Janine's brother Bill and wife Libby's wedding in Whistler last year (I photographed their wedding too and thus the connection grows, that wedding was however pre-blog allthough some of them are on my website).  So the cottages they found are set up in a perfect horse-shoe with every cabin looking inwards and out into Shuswap lake.  And they had almost every cabin reserved for family and friends.  I left that morning from Vancouver in a downpour that stayed strong the whole way to Kamploops.  I thought for sure we'd be skirting locations with umbrellas, but the sun found it's way through and stayed for the rest of their day!

I love this list for Steve's day.  Even labeled for him in case anyone mistake's it for their's.

Allright item number 4: Check marked.  They know where the rings are!

There were too many beautiful children at this wedding including Janine and Steve's son Cole riding shotgun here.  I could have filled a full blog post of the "kids at weddings".

                The kids

This was right in the middle of the seating.  An old broken handled water pump.  So vintage and cool, I had to put this in here.

Here's their son Cole getting a little antsy away from his parents for too long.

With a change of location Cole had relaxed for their first kiss.  I love this shot!

The owner of the lodge took us out in his boat to the centre of the lake (he's hiding below the seats), and I got out in a tippy little rowboat to capture them dipping their feet in.

This was great.  They were actually thanking me for the photography as I happened to be behind them shooting their speech.  I asked them to hold poised for me and boom, it's like a posed reception group shot!

I really felt a great part of their wedding, I even parted with an array of gifts of wine, flowers, and cupcakes yum!  And I'll not forget their gorgeous choice of locations for such a beautiful wedding.
