What's it all about? ...now I get it.
I find it fun to follow other people's blog's sometimes to see what they're up to and enjoy that little snapshot into their lives. And when there's those big gaps in posting's I wonder what they're up to and how things can slip that long? Well, it's now been a month and a half since anything's been posted on my blog... and it happened so easily! Effortlessly. All it took was me not posting! Who woulda thunk it. It was in the back of my mind that I should be getting something up here, but it wasn't until clients started inquiring that I realized how long it's been.
So in an effort to rectify this, I'm dumping a bunch of samplers of shoot's from this past couple months.
Here's little Oliver and his loving parents on their property in Chelsea Quebec. His father Chris I've known for a number of years, and is one of the most creative, innovative characters I know. Mom Michelle has a warm and magnetic personality, so little Ollie is going to be such a cool kid!

Chris mentioned a little baby-tossin early in the shoot, but I didn't take him literally!

On a proud note, here's the new acquisition that I picked up with my father down in Cheyenne, Wyoming and rode back in early november. What you say, would make me go all the way down there!? Well with the dollar almost on par, I did a little search for bikes within a certain radius of vancouver on Craigslist and came up with this one. An 09 almost half the price it'd be in Vancouver. What better excuse for a father/son road trip!

Here's my Pa at the park outskirts of the Grand Tetons.

I'm working in collaboration with a hair/makeup artist now: Melanie Tremblay of http://www.minkmakeupart.com. She'll be a part assistant/contributer at the winter wedding show this January that I'm excited about. She's an amazing ball of personality, confidence and creativity. Here's a few shots of Ashley that Melanie had made up.

I'm fortunate to have these guys as two of my closest friends. Rebecca and Caetano had a beautiful little wedding ceremony done exactly their style with only immediate family present. They followed it up with a potluck bbq the next day with friends. Rebecca and I worked at Mountain Equipment Co-op of which she is now the Sustainable Co-ordinator, and Caetano is a university professor in Glasgow of all places. Their relationship runs the gamut of long-distance commitment, and it's so wonderful to see the romance so alive each time their together.

And yet another Triumph motorcycle that I deign to be able to afford one day. It's master Lee took it out with me for a few quick shots downtown along the waterfront.

Like a scratch and sniff book, I wish I could add the gorgeous sound of the triumph's pipes to these shots!

While in Ontario recently I had the chance to work with fellow photographer/friend's company Fleischer Photography. I met the couple briefly before the wedding and wow, these guys were the bomb. With so many things happening at a wedding it's easy for couple's to get overwhelmed making sure everything runs smoothly, or worrying that everyone is enjoying themselves. Jamie and Katie balanced having fun - and managing fun like an art. Their wedding ran beautifully and they carried the pulse of it the whole day through. Here are some favs of my interpretation of their amazing fall wedding day.

Katie has a stunning Audrey Hepburn look, and the relaxed confidence to go with it.

Jamie's energy is booming! You could tell he was living his dream that day.

Luv this one!

A little gazebo serenading, with 2 very comfortable guitartists.

I'll leave you with this one. And this was a first for me too.

Thanks for enduring the cold so well you guys, your's was an inspiration!
Yes it's a small little Honda Rebel at a teeny 250cc, but the bike's got soul as they say. Imagine some good tunes, a glass of wine (don't drink and drive!) and a classic Vancouver sunset and it won't matter what bike you showed up on...
