Got myself a Gary Fisher Triton single-speed bike recently as an exchange for photography services with The Cyclery bike shop in Ottawa! I've had it for a month now, and it's perfect for the urban environment.
The saddle itself is amazing! It's a Brooks which are all handmade in England with full leather, titanium rails, and hammered copper rivets. Ohh man, I'm geeking out, but I absolutely love this bike! It's not the one I use for carting gear to weddings (I have 2 other bikes), but for most other smaller gigs it's the one I use. C'mon though, is it me, or this not one of the most beautiful "material possessions" you've seen?!

Jeff and Josephine’s wedding at Grouse Mountain
You know when you look around the room and realize the talent that's there? This was a moment I had from Jeff and Josephine's wedding up at Grouse mountain. Great inspiring energy to be around. It's amazing the synergy you get when you put so many cool people together to celebrate a very cool couple. We had another unreal summer day in Vancouver with a balmy 29 degrees. Quite the temperature change from their engagement shoot also up on Grouse 6 months ago in February!

I'm in big old sprawling Toronto right now enjoying a meal and a beer at the Marriott Hotel courtesy of the Combat Sports Group! I'm here to photograph their new hockey product line of sticks, gloves, goalie pads and the like. For it they've rented a rink for half a day, brought in some NHL guys and flown me out here to shoot it all! It'll be fun concept shots on ice the whole time with guys twice my height and weight and I'll be ordering them around, ha! Check out Combat sports website here: http://www.combatsportsgroup.com and you'll see a series of shots of mine from last year in Ottawa as well as stuff from their baseball and softball line. They're expanding insanely fast, and a big part of that credit goes to their hands-on product approach and quality control. They're the only big sports company that still manufactures their bats and sticks in North America instead of shipping them overseas. I had no idea how technical it is to create a carbon bat from scratch and I was able to get a front row seat in the creation in their factory in Ottawa. Total secret proprietary stuff and they'd have to kill me if I divulged it. How cool is that! The shots below are all from their recent softball catalogue and they were all taken on an exciting and sleep-deprived weekend down in Philadelphia and Orlando last October. They've been super good to me at Combat and I have fun every shoot we've done together. As I top my beer, here's to the future and many more shoots with you guys, thanks!
