Warning: Bike geekage follows.
I'm doing some shoots for Giant Bicycles and as a perk I've got a 2011 Trance X1 demo full suspension mountain bike for a few weeks. It's amazing!! I'm currently up in Whistler testing it out for the weekend (my first off since early July). I've not had much experience mountain biking, I've always been more of a roadie, but I did start out in the bike world on an old hardtail Rocky Mountain bike with 2 inches of front shock. So this plush 5" front and back is just mind-blowing to me. And the bike's so light so it climbs like stink too.
It'll be a while before I'm dropping the north shore, but it feels like a whole new adventure ahead!

Erin and Joel got in touch with me almost a year ago and were hoping to book me for their two ceremonies. One here in Vancouver and one on Prince Edward Island! As fate would have it I was already booked for another wedding and had to forego the east coast portion unfortunately. This still pains me. When they come out with human clones I'll definitely be getting me a second Brendon for situations like this, ha!
They both work together for the Steveston port authority where Joel's family has been for a few generations. He's also a passionate photographer himself and has captured some amazing things off the coast of Vancouver and around the world.
Erin was radiant and gracious and Joel excited and romantic. Their day was a stunning one, and they didn't stop smiling the entire time, and that as a photographer, is perfection. Here's some favs, enjoy! And thank you Joel and Erin for including me so effortlessly, I felt a part of your day.

Ah Vancouver Island in the summer! Corrie and Andrew picked Lake Cowichan to get ready and an incredible vineyard outside of Duncan for their ceremony and reception. It was a stunning day with a stunning couple. I could post tons from their wedding, it really was a great time and thank you guys for sharing your day with me. Here's a few of my favs.
