The Babes of Ottawa
I've just spent a month in my old home of Ottawa. It was soo wonderful being back there! I was back for a series of weddings (which I'll soon have blogs up about), and while there I had a number of babies to photograph. So much fun being around little people... their view of life is completely in the moment. It took me a bit to realize that that's the best way to photograph children as well. It's liberating actually, letting all conceived ideas go and just shooting as it happens. Crawling around in the grass and rolling in the sand becomes a perk for shoots like these. And believe me, I relish in it. I don't get to squawk or make fart noises at weddings!
